Nick Lachey sent Jessica Simpson a gigantic basket of cookies after she gave birth to a 10 pound Maxi pad.

“A large basket of pink and white cookies were delivered to Jessica’s hospital room at Cedars-Sinai earlier from Nick and Vanessa. The basket was delivered by Cookies By Design and included seven huge cookies with adorable baby girl decorations.”

Nick and his wife, Vanessa Minillo, are also expecting later this year.

Cancel that back ordered leopard print muumuu. Jessica Simpson has finally given birth after being pregnant for 17 trimesters. (I’ll be honest…I lost count after the admission she eats buttered Pop-Tarts.)

Raise your Twinkies in the air and declare in joy that Maxwell Drew Johnson hath cometh! Jess confirmed that she did indeed give birth to a baby girl and the little wee-one was damn near 10 pounds…

“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. 9 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 ¾ “! We are grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!”

Queue the inevitable Weight Watchers deal and Jess frantically google-ing how many points a corn dog is.

Jessica on her baby taking her scotch away – “Givin’ up my Scotch? My Macallan 18? That was hard for me! … Though now, being pregnant, you crave other things. A big thing of water sounds great!”

Jessica on skipping a drunken biking adventure for the baby – ““We were goin’ to have an all-day drinking binge,” Simpson says, not shy about saying so. “Gonna ride our bikes, hang out… do naughty things. But I started feeling this overwhelming guilt. Why would I feel guilt at the idea of going out and having cocktails with my friends?”

On the baby’s name being something odd (I will put money it being Bloomin’ Onion) – “It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they’ll know … why.”

Simpson is also having a baby girl and she will just die if turns out to be a Chaz Bono/Shiloh Junior – “I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins! Eric is so athletic — we’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping, ’cause all she’s gonna want is sports bras and Nikes!”

Jessica Simpson is talking about the amount of crap she is inhaling during her pregnancy. Judging by the picture, she looks to be about 14 months along and is due in the spring. One of her cravings has been buttered Pop Tarts. The image may be terrifying, but Paula Deen is writing that shiz down for her next cookbook.

“I had a buttered Pop-Tart this morning”, the pregnant 31-year-old tells Extra. “I’m eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Mac n’ Cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap n’ Crunch. Everything’s filled with sugar. Everybody comes up to me and asks me, ‘How’s the nausea?’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t have any!’” the singer says, though she’s “definitely eating a lot of Tums — I have the reflux and acid going on.”

I am nauseated just by reading about that mess…and I eat Kahlua Kashi for breakfast and wash it down with Irish Coffee and a Tic Tac. I am surprised I don’t see chewing on McDonald’s golden arches on my way to the liquor store church. I am guessing all the acid comes from her stomach rejecting Cap’n Crunch. The oil slick that is left behind in the milk is enough to make your stomach lead a revolt. (Disclaimer: I am sure the cereal is a fine addition to your breakfast despite the fact it feels like you are eating razors.)

When it comes to the actual birthin’ Jess says she isn’t scared. In this case, ignorance really is bliss.

“I feel like it’s already going to be a shock. Like, ‘Whoa! I just pushed that out!’ You know?”

“Shock.” LOL, girl, I have witnessed the “miracle of birth” and things…rip. Good luck to ya.
