I adore how blissfully ignorant Jessica Simpson is. She is easily impressed with big words like delicatessen and bourgeoisie. So when I heard she was refusing to use uber-thin models I was a bit proud of her for snubbing the sickly thin look and using “normal” women to show her line at Fashion Week in New York.

Then I heard she was just using her friends to do the job and the brief air of appreciation fizzled.

“Jessica plans to host a private presentation to preview her spring 2011 apparel and accessories collection, and showcase her new denim line using 8 of her best friends as models. Enlisting the likes of sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and close friend Cacee Cobb.”

So basically she is giving her besties some work. Meh, I still share her love of corndogs and I believe that makes us kindred spirits.

Star Magazine is selling a sad story that claims that Jessica Simpson bought herself an engagement ring and vowed to support her broke ass piece, Eric Johnson. It’s terribly sad as I could picture her doing just that.

He shrugged and bargained with a further request for lifetime supply of American Eagle khaki shorts, a subscription to Fisherman’s Digest and a $500 gift card to Applebees.

I no longer watch American Idol ever since Paula Abdul packed up her Vicodin and Gin as she stumbled out of the door. Now that Simon Cowell is following her out the Idol door, the search for a replacement has named several names. (The latest being Chris Isaak, click HERE for that story.)

The latest hopeful rumored to be the new American Idol judge is Jessica Simpson. Oy. Life and Style is reporting that she is “in negotiations” to fill Simon’s vacant spot.

“She’s met with producer-creator Simon Fuller several times. They like her — she’s a good fit — and she likes it. Now it’s just a question of how to fit her in.”

I am guessing Randy Jackson will be hitting CTRL+ALT+IQUITTHISBITCH if he has to suffer through endless pull my finger fart jokes and kicking her under the table when it’s her turn to give her critique as she stares blankly and the sound of dial tone fills the table.

He once played for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, but failed to make a full time career out of it after suffering several injuries. They met after a mutual friend brought him to one of her parties about 5 weeks ago.

“Jess is definitely rushing into this,” an insider tells Us. Indeed, in the photo, the couple are in Jacksonville, Fla., where they were celebrating Johnson’s grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary! They made time for some serious PDA at the modest, family-friendly Ponte Vedra Inn & Club at which they were staying. While strolling to their modest apartment there, “Her hand was on his butt, and they walked slowly just to enjoy the moment… They looked cute together,” says an insider, who also adds that they spent time with a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.”

Ok also insists that despite only meeting 5 weeks ago, Jessica Simpson is also pregnant with Eric’s baby. She also Twittered about doing a vegan crash diet and indulging in the Chinese method of removing toxins called cupping and some tea that is marketed as a weight loss drink.

While I wouldn’t doubt the mag would be able to dupe Jess into taking a pregnancy test by telling her if she peed on the little stick she’d be granted 3 wishes…I do doubt any forms of life are brewing in Simpson’s uterus.

Jessica Simpson has never been one to shy away from the press, and yet again she’s revealing a little too much TMI – admitting she doesn’t brush her teeth!

Per US:

“I don’t brush my teeth,” she told iheartradio Thursday. “No, really! “I just use Listerine — and sometimes I’ll use my sweater,” she claimed, bursting into laughter. “I do brush every now and again, but my teeth are extremely powerful. Fine, maybe when I’m 60 I’ll all, “ow!”

Thats fine and all, if you’re camping and you misplace your toothbrush. Of if you end up staying at some ones house overnight on one of your ho’ stroll conquests. But she talking all of the time. Which is disgusting. And suddenly I have new theories for why guys are always dropping her. Note to Jess… a man wants a lady, not a bum.

Ah yes. All must be right with the world if Jess has put her mom jeans back in the closet to replace them with hoodies and looks of adoration for her new man, ‘Smashing Pumpkins’ singer Billy Corgan.

And naturally, Simpson decided to profess her love via her Twitter account as the two were holed-up in a recording studio together.
