I hardly believe that Christina and her ho trick show is running low on cash and needs work. Although her foundation fund alone probably dries up the bank.
A “source” told Now Magazine that Christina Aguilera is now slumming it and lowering her rates to play private events in order to scrounge up some work. Her “Bionic” album flopped like Chunk in a pool of gravy and her tour was canceled. So, word is she is looking to keep busy and coated in Revlon.
Her going rate was around $2 million for a private event, but her hubby told her no one wants to shell out that much cash to see her bounce around in ho-gear unless she is going to give out a lifetime supply of Snickers and the complete box set of “House” on DVD at the end of her show. She has cut her rate to $250,000 to bring in some work.
“Speaking to Now magazine (via Yahoo), a source said: “Christina’s performing at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings. She wanted to charge £1.3 million a time but her hubby Jordan Bratman convinced her to lower it to £157,000 so she’ll get more gigs.”
(Take the mag’s report with a grain of proverbial salt. Most artists play private gigs with and have a price tag. From what I understand, Now is UK’s version of Star or Us so the chances their report could be flawed are good.)
