Actor Charlie Sheen appeared in court Monday and pled not guilty to domestic violence charges stemming from a Christmas Day fight with his wife Brooke Meuller. Sheen reportedly choked Brooke and threatened her with a knife after she threatened to divorce him.
The case goes to trial in Colorado July 21.
The ”Two And A Half Men” actor was arrested in Aspen, Colorado and charged with third-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
Sheen has a history of alcohol and drug abuse. He and Brooke have separately undergone therapy at various treatment centers.
The couple married in 2008 and have twin boys Max and Bob, who were born in March 2009.
